Bessel functions and Legendre polynomials are included in the Student Edition.
I quit try with the online help didn't turn up anything on the others, but
there are hundreds of functions, including scads of special functions.
I have both versions. My impression is that the only advantage of the full
version is that it comes with:
- much more thorough documentation
- additional function libraries.
Since three of the additional libraries are the geometry, geom3d, and projgeom
packages, if you are interested in geometry, there's much to be said for
getting the full package. The price/performance for Student Maple is truly
impressive, though. The better documentation (that comes with the full package)
can be purchased separately. The tutorial volume is:
"First Leaves: A Tutorial INtroduction to Maple V", from Springer-Verlag (ca.$25), and there is a reference manual and a library manual that come with the full
