-
- We have created a MS Word file (Version 4) that cannot be opened.
-
- Attempting to open it gets the message:
- "Not enough memory to run Word"
-
- Loading a new copy of Word does not help.
- Reloading system files (6.0.8) does not help.
- Norton DiskDoctor reports no problems on the disc.
-
- The file can be copied from the floppy to the hard disc, but it stil cannot be
- opened.
-
- The file can be copied to another machine, but it still doesn't work.
-
- Meanwhile, we have noticed no other system or MS Word problems.
-
- The current version is not backed-up (some people never learn), and Norton
- Unerase says the old copies are in "poor" condition.
-
- This is a new problem to me, and I don't recall any discussion of similar
- problems on the net.
-
- If you have any ideas, please e-mail (or post if you think the issue is of
- general interest).
