  10. We have created a MS Word file (Version 4) that cannot be opened.

  12. Attempting to open it gets the message:
  13. "Not enough memory to run Word"
  14.  
  15. Loading a new copy of Word does not help.
  16. Reloading system files (6.0.8) does not help.
  17. Norton DiskDoctor reports no problems on the disc.
  18.  
  19. The file can be copied from the floppy to the hard disc, but it stil cannot be
  20. opened.

  22. The file can be copied to another machine, but it still doesn't work.
  23.  
  24. Meanwhile, we have noticed no other system or MS Word problems.

  26. The current version is not backed-up (some people never learn), and Norton
  27. Unerase says the old copies are in "poor" condition.

  29. This is a new problem to me, and I don't recall any discussion of similar
  30. problems on the net.
