  13. I have run into a similar problem when working with images from an HP ScanJet,
  14. but only had the problems when scanning the image as a PICT, if I scanned it
  15. as a TIFF it worked just fine.

  17. I think that there must be some upper limit to the size of a single PICT
  18. resource, so the image has to be subdivided into little rectangles, and these
  19. appear to be touching each other at screen resolution, but at printer resolution
  20. gaps appear between the rectangles.  Then again that is just my humble, limited
  21. attempt at explaining the problem

  23. If you are currently scanning to a PICT and have the option of scanning to TIFF,
  24. try that and see what happens.
