- There are two possible solutions:
- 1. get the newest MacX, version 2.0 (??) is announced/has been released.
- It provides a "backing store" for the windows. Version 1.1.7 does not.
- 2. instruct the DEC software (ANSYS) you're running to keep a backing store.
- How to do that should be mentioned somewhere in its manual.
-
- I had similar problems with IDL on the DEC: windows were not refreshed
- by MacX 1.1.7.
- Fortunately, IDL has a command ("device,retain=2") which instructs IDL
- to provide a "backing store" for all windows.
- Note that the X-Windows ``standard'' doesn't require the X server (MacX)
- to provide the backing store. However, most servers do, as supposedly the
- latest release of MacX. I haven't got it yet...
-
- Good luck,
