- helpful. First, some PC programs and Mac programs can handle the same
- image file formats. For instance, I think programs on both platforms can
- handle TIFF file format. So if your PC with the scanner can save the file
- as a TIFF file, and you have a program on the Mac that can read TIFF,
- you're almost done. You just have to put the PC TIFF file on a floppy, and
- use AFE to copy that file (using the default binary translator) onto the Mac.
- If you don't have programs that use common file formats, I'd guess that
- you have to buy a commercial AFE filter, such as one from DataViz.
- There's a FREE program for the Mac called IMAGE that can handle a number
- of image file formats. It's available at a number of Internet FTP sites.
