- Over a period of about eight hours, My SE got to the point where it simply
- not boot at all - not even a re-boot belltone when I tried pushing the
- reset switch on the side.
-
- It started with an occasional lockup of the screen; a re-boot cured that.
-
- It then progressed to screenlock _with_ a random pattern of black or white
- pixels across the screen. I could still get the machine to re-boot.
-
- Finally, it would lock up, dead cursor, and when I tried to reboot, the
- SAD MAC icon would come up with the following code sequence:
-
- 00000005 or 00000004
- 15001F00 00003F00
-
-
- Multiple tries at re-booting would bring up the same icon with changes in
- the code sequence and the random across-the-screen pattern of pixels.
-
- If anyone would be so kind as to post or E-mail to me directly a list of
- sad Mac error codes, I would be most appreciative.
