- Here at work we have some folks who need help keeping their inventory of
- electronic components up-to-date. We can't quite figure out how a simple
- database like FileMaker could do this in a user-friendly manner, so we
- are seeking some dedicated freeware, shareware, or commercial inventory
- software.
-
- For each component, they technicians need to know how many they have in
- stock, how many are on order and when the order is expected. When a
- component's inventory gets low, the software should include it on a
- weekly list of items to be ordered. The software should keep track of how
- long it typically takes for an order to be delivered, as well as a
- typical number of the components used each week, and use that information
- in judging when to order more components.
-
- This is bound to be a common, _a very common_, problem, but we can't find
- any Mac software to handle it. Any suggestions?
