- Hello.
-
- This little story may serve as a warning to people contemplating purchasing
- Music Publisher.
-
- I have practically given up using Music Publisher 2.5.3 from Repertoire
- (a company located in Australia). This program eats its own preferences
- file!
-
- I've called their support number in California, and it was disconnected.
-
- A fine soul on the net gave me Repertoire's address and the name of their
- marketing director. I have written him three times, but he only replied
- to my first letter.
-
- He he admitted that Music Publisher 2.5.3 is buggy, and advised me to revert
- to an earlier version. This is impossible, since I only received one version
- (2.5.3). He went on further on how his company is small (so I guess I should
- give him a break). He also included a copy of a letter of praise he received
- about Music Publisher from another US user. These things, however, have not
- kept Music Publisher from eating its preferences file.
-
- I subsequently sent him two more letters. I have received no reply from either.
-
- Does anyone out there know what the current version of Music Publisher is?
- Is Repertoire still in business?
-
- I feel abandoned by Mr. Beinvenue and Repertoire. This product was reviewed in
- MacUser (September 91?) and given a favourable rating.
-
- I spent $244 on this and have basically received shit for support.
-
- Thanks for letting me get this off my chest.
-
