- In a previous article, kayser@nssdca.gsfc.nasa.gov (Susan E. Kayser NSSDC/STX 301)513-1673) says:
-
- >When I choose Date from the Insert menu in Word 5.0a, I get only the year,
- >i.e., "1992". According to the command description of Date, in Commands..., I
- >should be getting month, day, and year. (The Glossary has lots of date
- >formats; the one called Date there is indeed just the year; the other formats,
- >such as Date Long, are not in the Command list.)
-
- I found the easiest way to do this is to add the "Date Long Now" (I think)
- to the Work menu. You do this by selecting COMMANDS... from the TOOLS
- menu. You scroll down and then select GLOSSARY ENTRY from the listing.
- Then, on the right side, you'll get a secondary listing of all the Glossary
- entries. Select the date you'd like from that list, then tell it which
- menu you want to add it to (lower left area of the screen), then click add.
- Voila! You'll have a Work menu if you told it to add to the work menu.
- Everything will be peachy from there. Good luck!
