  35.     What MIDI file did you try to load?  I had the same error when I 
  36. only had 256K of memory.  Now I have 1 Meg and the error disappeared.  From 
  37. my experience, the GUS should be sold with 1 MEg.  256K is not enough.
  38. Your problem is, when the GUS loads the patches to play the MIDI files, it 
  39. runs out of memory for the altosax.pat patch.  Upgrading to 1Meg (cheap and 
  40. easy) will solve the problem.  Buy 6 DRAM 44C256 70ns chips.
