- Firstly, WOWII1.3 wouldn't be any different to the A500, as it can mix at 22Khz,
- in stereo, with Pro-tracker support. Anyway I have another stereo mod player,
- called VP, which I d/l from a local BBS about a week ago. It has a FULL FOURIER
- TRANSFORM analysis (not a fake one), and 5 osc. with synchronisation (ie the
- program keeps the waves a stable as possible, and low pitch instruments look
- brilliant). It also has proper volume indicators, which always reflect the
- _actual_ volume of the samples playing, _and_ you can shell to DOS while it's
- playing at 22KHz. Another handy feature is the ability to pgup/dn through the
- patterns, which WOW doesn't do.
- It has a few other features like changing the mixing rate, the output device,
- and toggling the SB-Pro's filter on/off while the mod is playing. The player
- runs in 640x480x16 (looks great), and also supports various other output devices
- such as LPT1 D/A's, and even the lowly PC speaker(yuk). I haven't seen it
- on any of the ftp sites (although I wasn't looking), so if the requests are
- demanding enough, I'll upload it.
-
- Cheers, Stuart
