  13.    I've got an interesting problem that I can't solve.  I just purchased
  14. a 486/50 clone with 2 high density floppies.  Neither the 3 1/2 or 5 1/4
  15. will read write protected disks.  The drives will read the exact same disk
  16. if the write protect notch is switched to be writable.  It formats disks
  17. fine on both drives and acts normally aside from the reading problem.  When
  18. I pulled the cables off of the chinnon drives and attached them to a friend's
  19. Teac drives, everything worked fine.  The dealer responded by sending me a
  20. new controller card and cables which didn't do a thing...they both will
  21. still not read write protected disks.  Any ideas?  Thanks for the help.
