- The low membership fee is whatever you end up paying for its sign-up
- kit; you can get this free sometimes with modems or other software, or
- buy it at stores for somewhere around $15 to $20. It comes with some
- free connect time to balance out the initial cost.

- The basic charge covers all activity in a select group of services; the
- forums, however, cost about $12/hr for 2400 baud. You might also have
- to pay connection charges if you are using telnet or some other sort
- of phone link; CompuServe has their own.
