  12. I have an IBM PC convertible (laptop of sorts) with an internal modem.
  13. It will dial using pulse mode (ATDP) but not using tone mode (ATDT).
  14. Any suggestions? According to the modem manual, it is supposed to be
  15. able to dial tone. When I type atdt ans a number, it just sits there.
  16. It picks up the line, but doesn't do anything besides that.
