I have a question for you video card experts out there.  Why can my ati
graphics ultra pro display 1280x1024 (interlaced) in a test program and
still not use this mode displaying windows?  The Gateway tech I talked to
said the 1MB card with the cheaper RAMDAC could definitely NOT display
this mode (except in the test program) even with updated drivers.  What gives?
Of course 1280x1024 interlaced flickers like crazy, but it would be nice
to be able to use it on occasion.

I also have a question for those using the newer beta ultra pro drivers
released just a while back (last week?).  I downloaded them by ftp and
installed them, and they made my machine lock up just after starting
windows.  Are these drivers only for non-local-bus systems, or did I do
something wrong?  If they are only for non-local-bus, can someone get
thier hands on the local-bus versions and upload them somewhere on the
net?  It would be rather expensive for me to call Gateway's BBS.
