- Last night, while pondering an appropriate choice of laser printer, it
- occurred to me that that is not a wise investment, since producing
- quality documents may also require a scanner and a photocopier is also
- a nice toy to have. If you stop and think about it, a photocopier is
- a scanner (printer) without a computer interface. So, said I, I
- should find a machine capable of all three functions. Referring back
- to the November issue of Byte, there was a review a such a beast, made
- by OkiData, called Doc.It, but the puppy costs $4k.
-
- So, net.world, are there any machines out there that combine all three
- funcitons into a single package? How much do they cost? Are they
- PostScript compatible? How about print speed? Etc.
