- After a recent transportation, the monitor on my computer has picked up a
- funny habit.
-
- The picture on the screen (be it text or graphic) "shudders". That's about
- the best word to describe it. It seems to shake back and forth every now
- and again. It seems to happen of it's own accord and banging the monitor
- seems to "agitate" it when it is already shuddering, however when the
- screen is stable, I can't seem to coerce it into unstability.
-
- What do I do with a paranoid monitor??? :-)
-
- My best guess is that the ride in the back seat of my car shook something
- loose inside, but I thought I'd search out some net.wisdom before I
- procede.
- (I'm a bit reluctant to go opening up the monitor, I know that those
- "TV" tubes can store up a hell of a charge even when no power is
- connected.)
-
- For you information, the monitor is a VGA, not excatly sure of the brand
- or model but it says "ELITE" on the front. The vga card in my computer is
- a 512K card with paradise chips (or at least is compatible with a paradise
- driver).
-
- Any ideas on what the likely problems are and how to fix??
-
- Thanx in advance.
