  10. People are quite correct -- the noise does become less frequent as the
  11. drive warms up. I can deal with it every ten minutes or so. Every
  12. thirty seconds (perpetually) would have driven be bananas. Seems like
  13. a reasonably fast drive, although CORETEST tells me the mean seek time
  14. is still in the neighborhood of 15 msec... I'm not going to disable my
  15. RAM cache! (After all, 256K is peanuts when something like Windows is
  16. starting up.)
