- I have Compaq VGA card that I acquired some time back. It is a 16 bit
- card. I was told that it needed all 16 bits to produce color. However,
- when I put the card into my XT I found that it produce the same colors
- in the 8 bit slot.
-
- So this has me wondering what this card is capable of doing. There are
- two proms on the card with the following numbers on them.
-
- 109794.003 and 109793.003
-
- It also has a large Paradise PVGA IC on the card along with 3 oscillators.
-
- There is also a paper label that says,"Compaq diamond FOOIL"
-
- Can anybody help me out on this card. It works fine, I just want to
- know more about the card.
-
-
- Thanks for your help...
