  12. A while ago I mentioned my Father was having trouble with his 486DX2/66V
  13. from Gateway, his Ultra Pro and printing from windows.  The guys at Gateway
  14. said that they have a fix for the problem. They're calling it ATILB43.EXE.
  15. Wasn't there a file just uploaded the other day called BLB46.ZIP (or
  16. something like that) that was the latest beta release?  We tried that
  17. release and the problem remained.  Has anyone else heard of this new file
  18. Gateway is pushing?  And if so, does it fix the problem?  We are also
  19. experiencing problems when launching dos applications in a window.  All
  20. kinds of garbage is put on the screen when you first launch the app, and
  21. you have to kick in the screen saver to have it refresh the display.  Any
  22. news on this?

  24. From the experience I have had with the Ultra Pro, I am really
  25. dissapointed.  I don't care if the card pushes 5 BILLION winmarks, if it
  26. won't let you print or puts garbage on the screen then the card is no more
  27. than a light-weight boat anchor.  A display card is only as good as the
  28. drivers that make it work.  I wish Ati would iron out the drivers and be
  29. done with it.  Windows 3.1 has been out for a LONG time now and the Ultra
  30. Pro has been around a little while too.  These people have to get out of
  31. the mindset of "Yeah, get the damn thing out the door and we'll worry about
  32. the drivers later."
