- I have a Olivetti M290 12MHz 286 with 1 MB of RAM memory that all the
- time boots up in 40 character mode and complains about bad
- CMOS-checksum.
-
- I have tried using generic setup programs to correct the CMOS, with no
- result. The SHIFT-CTRL-ALT-DEL combination that works on some Olivettis
- does not work on this one.
-
- What could be the problem? Is it really broke, or is there a switch to
- use before altering the setup? Or is the CMOS-ram simply broken?
