  10. I have a Olivetti M290 12MHz 286 with 1 MB of RAM memory that all the
  11. time boots up in 40 character mode and complains about bad
  12. CMOS-checksum.

  14. I have tried using generic setup programs to correct the CMOS, with no
  15. result. The SHIFT-CTRL-ALT-DEL combination that works on some Olivettis
  16. does not work on this one.

  18. What could be the problem? Is it really broke, or is there a switch to
  19. use before altering the setup? Or is the CMOS-ram simply broken?
