  13. Some days ago I bought a WD 2200 caviar as second drive
  14. to my MAXTOR 7080A.
  15. I installed the MAXTOR as slave and the WD as master.

  17. The jumper settings are:

  19. WD: MA = ON
  20.  
  21. MAXTOR: J19 = ON
  22.         J20 = OFF
  23.  
  24. (On = "with hat")
  25. The WD was delivered without a jumper but luckily the maxtor
  26. has J20 = ON as single drive, so I could use this jumper.

  28. BTW the maxtor has an average seek of about 15 ms and 780K data
  29. transfer rate. The numbers for the WD are 12.5 and about 1M.
  30. (I have a 386-40).
