  11. My first video card, an OAK VGA with 256K, worked just fine for me. After
  12. collecting some $ I got a new one, also an OAK, but with 1 MB on board. This
  13. one can only be put in 8-bit slots. When I plug it into any of the 16-bit
  14. slots, nothing happened when I switched on the power. Now I got another
  15. board, an ET-4000 with high-color, the same problem occured again. Ok, I've
  16. RTFMed and set every jumper on the 'correct' position but still got the
  17. same result. Strange enough, my oldest video card works perfectly either
  18. in 16-bit or 8-bit slots.(of course, the 8/16-bit jumper on this board was
  19. set to its correcponding position before insert it in 8/16 bit slots)

  21. My system is a 386/Dx-25, with 8MB RAM, AMI bios dated April 90. Could anybody
  22. helps me out of this ? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
