  28. Chop your path down in your AUTOEXEC.BAT file, or else add the
  29. following line to your CONFIG.SYS file and reboot:

  31.     SHELL=C:\DOS\COMMAND.COM /P /E:512
  32.  
  33. Your path may be different to your COMMAND.COM file. The /E:512 is the
  34. part that increases the environment space for your shell to 512 bytes.
  35. You could try something smaller first like /E:256 if you wish. The
  36. default is 127 bytes, I believe.
