- Pulled the demo down and had no problem smashing the first seven levels.
- Then, as sometimes happens, I got stuck, so I figured I would see if
- there are any hints in this group, and sure enough, there was a post
- which talked about tethering the right balloon and jerking it out, which
- I had already figured out was necessary. I spent the next two days
- trying everything I could think of to (did you know that you can kick the
- bowling ball out to the right off the conveyor belt!? not something you
- try right away, and not helpful, either) get the bowling ball to land on
- the see-saw positioned just to the left of the tall basket in such a way
- that it would have enough momentum to snap the balloon out _and_ pop
- back over to the right on recoil. (I mean, I tried lots of single-
- double- and some triple bank combi's to get that sucker just right). If
- it has enough to bank back over, it won't pull the balloon out, and if
- it's far enough out on the end of the see-saw, it won't jump far enough.
- TIM is definitely a discrete-state machine, and nothing I tried would
- put the bowling ball in just the right place.
- Finally, I said the hell with it, and pulled down the solution file with
- the GIFs in it. I even had a piece of paper on the screen when I
- pulled it up, so I could get a little of a hint as possible. Well, I
- started from left to right, and lo and behold, what do I see, but a
- string (rope?) tied to the other balloon!
- Well, I had not even ventured down that path of the decision tree, since
- my approach had been validated by the post I mentioned. (Serves me
- right for cheating, eh?)
- My question to you all: Has anyone been able to use the "pull out"
- method I have described to successfully complete the puzzle? Don't tellm
- me how, jsut tell me if it's possible, so I can load the game back up
- and waste some more time on TIM.
- What a great game!
