- Another feature that would be nice in Civilization is the construction
- of canals (to allow ships to take a short-cut from one side of a
- continent to the other). There's been many games where I could have
- used this. I believe such a feature would be possible only after a
- cilization has acquired Engineering, Bridge Building and Railroads
- (which would simulate how REAL canal building on Earth only started to
- become important in the early 1800's). Heck, the Suez Canal or Panama
- Canal could even be considered as another WOW!
