- Actually, it only reduces the info by a factor of two. A 16 color display
- has a pixel depth of 4 bits. Since 2^4=16, that's the number of possible
- combinations. An 8 bit display, is 2^8= 256, and therefore 256
- simultaneous colors are possible. Nonetheless, you are correct it stating
- that it increases display speed significantly.
