- Subj: Unused ROM in DEMO card?
-
-
- I'm new at this (holiday job!) but!
- When I bought my 48 (~1 year ago) they left the demo card installed
- by mistake.I thought the card would be free to the shop for sales etc
- so I kept it, anyway I thought it would be useful to keep people that
- are forever asking "what does it do?" happy!
- Anyway when I started messing with sys-rpl I got curious as to what the
- rest of the DEMO card ROM contained (DEMO is library 262 ~105Kb and ROM
- will be std 128Kb).I 'viewed' the ROM by pointing the display chip to
- the approprite area (5 nib pointer at #120h) ( objects such as GROBs
- arrays etc can be seen easily). The obvious object I came across was a
- 131x131 GROB of what appears to be a fractal! (if same ROM as mine
- (can't see any ver no.) and installed in port 2 #FE813h SYSEVAL will
- place GROB on stack.) There appears to be other stuff 'lying around' but
- this is the end of my skills at pulling bits out of ROM, is there any
- one that has a DEMO and greater skills that can tell me what the rest is?
-
- thanks!
- James
