- Apart from the fact that NiCd's are less than ideal for calcs
- like the HP48, there is little need to reverse batteries to
- drain a capacitor or wait the 8-15 hours or more it may take
- to drain it with the batteries out. Find a paperclip, or
- other handy dandy conductor and short the leads. Then press
- the ON key. I have to do this regularly with my radio because
- of the strange voltage properties of NiCd's when low.
