  15. If you think that reversing the batteries is going to do anything why don't
  16. you try something a little safer instead that would accomplish the same
  17. task.  Just put a resistor across the terminals.  If there is any charge
  18. there you can let it down slowly.  Otherwise, it'll do nothing.  I'd
  19. never feel confortable putting a battery in backwards.  That little 
  20. diode may or may not be there but I'd rather be safe than another $250 
  21. poorer.
