  22. The missing memory is accumulated over time. The HP48SX  runs just like a 
  23. computer and the memory gets "fragmented" over time and use. The downloading/
  24. saving of files and reloading should take care of freeing memory. (Its 
  25. worked for others). The HP48SX probibly does not have much of a memory
  26. management unit. (sorry for the bad spelling above) Many of you have seen this 
  27. problem on computer harddrives, similar concept, execpt no one has a Norton
  28. Util. for HP48SX.
