- My 750 has 384 meg of HP RAM. To the best of my knowledge this is the
- max possible at this time, although you can put in twice as much if
- you upgrade to 755.
-
- This of course requires ALL your slots to be filled with the maximum
- density available (In this case all 6 slot-pairs filled with 64M chunks).
- Thus if you want max RAM make sure your machine is ordered with only
- the highest density RAM.
-
- Now, as for your lock-up during boot with more than 256: no idea.
- Ours boots fine and a quick perusal of the sys admin manuals gives
- no hints regarding max RAM. Perhaps you have a bad chunk of RAM- have
- you tried substituting for known good RAM and are you sure that
- you are placing the RAM in correct order in the slots?
