  16. The 3B2/400 floppy is 720K, so you can't just drop in mtools and read
  17. them. You might be able to modify mtools to effectively double step
  18. (i.e. recompute the seek position to the appropriate place) but I
  19. don't know how hard it would be and I'm not sure the 3B2 can access the
  20. last track on the disk normally.

  22. A long time ago I cobbled up a system where I formatted some 5" disks
  23. at 720K in an AT high density drive using some public domain tools under
  24. DOS.  I was able to access these with mtools on the 3B and with a tsr
  25. that came with the formatter on the PC.  But, we have the Starlan DOS
  26. server software on the 3B and PC's so it's a lot easier to just link
  27. to a directory and copy over the network.
