- The 3B2/400 floppy is 720K, so you can't just drop in mtools and read
- them. You might be able to modify mtools to effectively double step
- (i.e. recompute the seek position to the appropriate place) but I
- don't know how hard it would be and I'm not sure the 3B2 can access the
- last track on the disk normally.
-
- A long time ago I cobbled up a system where I formatted some 5" disks
- at 720K in an AT high density drive using some public domain tools under
- DOS. I was able to access these with mtools on the 3B and with a tsr
- that came with the formatter on the PC. But, we have the Starlan DOS
- server software on the 3B and PC's so it's a lot easier to just link
- to a directory and copy over the network.
