- According to Ray at TOAD Computers, this is not so. You _can_ format 720K
- and 1.4Mb floppies in a floptical drive... you just need the latest version
- of ICD's software which comes with the LINK SCSI/DMA adapter. There may be
- a problem doing so with TOS's prior to 1.4 but I cannot confirm that as yet.

- Well, I'd say it probably should depend on what you use or want to use your
- computer for. If you can't run larger apps because of memory limitations,
- then go for a RAM upgrade. The TOS upgrade is _always_ a good idea and gives
- you a lot of bang for the buck.
-
- However, if you really intend to buy a Falcon soon, then don't put any more
- money into hardware upgrades for your Mega. And if you don't have a hard
- drive or don't plan on buying a Falcon with the built-in hard disk, then I'd
- recommend buying a fixed hard disk BEFORE a floptical. Hey, the flopticals
- are neat but they are NOT the best solution for primary storage! At any
- rate, an external hard disk or a floptical could be used on _both_ systems.
