- I have a Quantum 52 Mb drive and a SyQuest 44 Mb removable with an ICD AdSCSI
- host adapter. The SyQuest is a little slower than the Quantum, but both are
- about twice the speed of my old Supra 20 Mb, which may have a Seagate
- mechanism. They are also MUCH quieter than the Supra. I believe the SyQuest
- drives are fairly widely used, and are in packages for most 16 and 32 bit
- microcomputers (D*S, M*c, Am*g*, ... ).

- If you can retrieve from atari.archive.umich.edu, there are some utilities
- there; I'm not familiar with 'DLII and Reorg'. I tend to backup truly critical
- data to floppy as I generate it, having lost my HD once or twice. Unless your
- fairly confident in your ability to manipulate FAT tables and sector structure
- of your HD, you're probably better off formatting and starting over. Perhaps
- you could try to recover critical data first, then reformat.
