  11.                        Digi-Studio Information

  14. Digi-Studio is a set of programs for the 8-bit Atari (XL/XE) for creating 
  15. music using "real" sounds, which have been digitized. The Digi-Studio package
  16. contains everything you will need to create and play music using digitized
  17. sounds. Here's a list of the programs included:

  19.  * Keyboard Player. Allows you to play music live by using the computer's
  20.    keyboard like a piano keyboard. The sounds produced are, of course, 
  21.    digitized. This program has fully responsive keys, so that sounds only
  22.    play for as long as you hold the key down.

  24.  * Tune Player. This program plays Digi-Studio tune files using digitized
  25.    sounds.
  26.  
  27.  * Sample Editor. This program allows you to edit sound samples by using
  28.    a joystick. It also has "cut and paste" facilities, so you can also create
  29.    your own samples.
  30.  
  31.  * Tune Compiler. This program allows you to play Digi-Studio tune files
  32.    in your own Basic or Turbo-Basic programs.
  33.  
  34.  * LIDS Compiler. This program allows you to create your own Digi-Studio
  35.    tune files by use of a language called LIDS.

  37. Also included are 55 sound samples, and 44 ready-to-play Digi-Studio
  38. tune files.

  40. The Digi-Studio system comes on 2 DS/SD disks. Disk one contains the main
  41. programs and a starter pack of sounds and tunes. Disk two contains more
  42. samples and sounds for use with Digi-Studio.

  44. The Digi-Studio system is also supplied with a 44 page manual in A4 size. This
  45. manual has sections describing all the programs listed, but also has a lengthy
  46. section on how to read music. An appendix has also been added containing 
  47. music along with the corresponding LIDS programs.

  49. The Digi-Studio system (with manual and 2 disks) costs just 12pounds+1pound
