- Is it slow because of the way uemacs updates the screen? Things like
- 'stevie' and 'less' use proper screen I/O, but they don't suffer from
- sluggishness and they work over a terminal. uemacs also seems to want to
- combine a bunch of pending scroll commands into one screen update. That
- would make sense for a graphics-based editor, but I thought the text mode
- was fast enough to avoid that (on a local terminal anyway).

- a few bugs while writing the MuGS scripts.
