  17.     Is it slow because of the way uemacs updates the screen?  Things like
  18. 'stevie' and 'less' use proper screen I/O, but they don't suffer from 
  19. sluggishness and they work over a terminal.  uemacs also seems to want to
  20. combine a bunch of pending scroll commands into one screen update.  That
  21. would make sense for a graphics-based editor, but I thought the text mode
  22. was fast enough to avoid that (on a local terminal anyway).

  24.     In any case, are you still maintaining the GS version?  I've come across
  25. a few bugs while writing the MuGS scripts.
