  12. Remember the rumors that WestCode was working on a "MultiFinder" for the
  13. IIGS?  Then remember hearing that it was cancelled?  Well, Alan Bird
  14. posted the prototype version on AOL recently and _it works!_

  16. I've already tried it, and had the Finder, Teach, and AppleWorks GS all
  17. going at once (NOT multitasking, but instantly switchable).  It puts a
  18. menu in the upper-right corner of the menu bar, which allows you to look
  19. at memory stats for each application, launch applications, and add
  20. applications to the menu for future use.

  22. It's a tiny little CDev (about 15K, I think).  Alan Bird does note that it
  23. is _not_ a final product (it's freeware), and is not supported by WestCode
  24. - he asks bug reports to be directed to him.  But the blasted thing seems
  25. to work (mostly - I did have trouble with fonts not scaling right in AWGS
  26. with Pointless, but that's happened before anyway).
