-
- LOL... agreed... well, a brief summary of it (It was at Apple Expo, and
- a friend of mine just got a copy from Big Red Computer Club... check it
- out!)
-
- Basic overview: Out Of This World is more or less an arcade style game,
- though you have to do some thinking to find the right way to get through
- some things (like in Immortal). Finishing a section will allow you to get
- an access code that will allow you to get straight to that section the next
- time you start the game (again, like Immortal). Where the resemblance to
- Immortal stops is in the screen display and music that plays through the game.
-
- It's got a great demo that runs about 5 minutes or more that gives the
- "storyline" of the game, which I'll leave for the entertainment of folks
- who buy the game... :)
-
- The graphics are simply astonishing, (especially since the program code is
- only about a 1/2 meg, with another 1/2 meg of sounds), with fantastic
- movement and animation... The game play is pretty cool too, from the bit
- I played around with it -- game play itself reminds me somewhat of
- Immortal, or a little bit like Dragons Lair (especially because of the
- cool death scenes like in Dragons Lair). The detail and complexity of the
- pictures is amazing... It really has to be seen to be believed!
-
- Also, the music that runs along in the background is really outstanding, and
- if you've got a stereo card, you'll really enjoy it!
-
- Something else that is really neat is that the game has different display
- options -- you can choose from four options that range from full screen to
- a box that takes up about the center half of the screen, which moves much
- more quickly... this gives folks who don't have accelerators a big plus
- in game play speed and reaction time... :)
-
- My testimonial: Though I don't usually spend too much time on games, I'm
- impressed enough with this game that I'll probably buy it just to give
- Burger Bill a bit more incentive to keep up this outstanding work... :)
