  14. I need some serious advice.  I have a Vulcan 40 meg. hard drive which
  15. is pretty slow.  From what I understand the Vulcan Gold upgrade is a
  16. new controller that increases the speed.  I think heard some bad
  17. things about the Vulcan Gold though.  That guy in Germany put an add in GS+
  18. for his Turbo IDE card.  I've heard it's supposed to be pretty good
  19. but it's expensive.  The Vulcan Gold upgrade goes for about $50 mail
  20. order but this guy wants $159 for the Turbo IDE + $24 for shipping.
  21. So, if the Vulcan Gold is good and the Turbo IDE isn't much faster, I
  22. would just as soon go for the Vulcan Gold.  I would appreciate if
  23. someone could fill me in on the details of both cards and maybe do a
  24. comparison.  Also, how much faster are these cards than the standard
  25. Vulcan controller?
