  12. Question #1:
  13. I just downloaded Zlink from BROWVM and was wondering if this file is
  14. corrupted.  I downloaded it twice, unpacked it a couple of times with
  15. Binscii and shrinkit and once with GSHK which did not show any errors.
  16. I tried launching the program (z.link.system) from the finder, the basic
  17. system, prodos 8 using the pathname, and using it as the start file on a
  18. disk.  Each time I got just a plain screen, not the title described in the
  19. documentation.  Suggestions?
  20. Question #2:
  21. I am planning to buy a hard drive in about a month and am looking for a few
  22. suggestions.  I have a Woz ROM 01 GS and am thinking about getting a 100+MB
  23. hard drive with a RAMfast card.  I was looking through the recent MacWorld
  24. and found a Quantum 110MB ELS for about $340 and a Maxtor 120MB for $400 both
  25. external anyone have any experience using these drives and what conversion
  26. is necessary to convert these drives from Mac to IIGS?
  27. Question #3:
  28. What is the difference between the Ramfast rev. C and rev. D cards?  I saw a
  29. post last spring about a company selling rev. C cards for about $99.  Someone
  30. also mentioned refurbished Ramfast cards, are these any good and where can I
  31. find one if they are?
  32. Question #4:
  33. When I am done modifying my IIGS I plan to have a Prometheus Promodem 2400a
  34. internal modem, Zip accelarator, Ramfast, PC Transporter, sound card, and
  35. SIMM memory expansion card in place.  Will I need a heavy duty power supply
  36. Someone mentioned external drives taking life of the internal power supply of
  37. the IIGS, has anyone noticed this problem?
  38. Lastly, I would like to thank anyone answering any of these questions and all
  39. of those using and programming IIs.  I have used Macs and PCs and neither
  40. system compares to the IIGS except speedwise, I love this computer.  Thanks.
