- Lode Runner GS does an amazing trick when you pause the game--it scrolls a
- message in large characters in the BORDER below the super hires screen, so
- evidently a stock standard 2.8 Mhz GS can toggle colours every couple of
- pixels (but I haven't worked out the maths yet).
-
- By the way, whilst I'm on the topic of Lode Runner GS, I've come across a
- rather nasty bug in the game which perhaps someone else has a fix to. Whilst
- playing level 155 (Championship Lode Runner level 5) I needed to dig a hole on
- my right whilst standing on a robot's head, thus freeing the robot to run to
- his right through that hole. I was then supposed to follow, but the game
- wouldn't allow me to run through the hole I created! This only happens when
- running to my right...the reverse direction is okay.
- So, has anyone happened to come across this bug and fixed it? (indeed, has
- anyone bothered to play Lode Runner GS that far? :-), or am I destined to hack
- my way through the code and figure out the bug for myself? (or should I give up
- and put the game away? :-)
