- No, you're not entirely correct. You can certainly still use a high speed
- modem on the //c. You just may not be able to take advantage of all the extra
- features of the modem (Data Compression for example). Using the modem without
- Datacompression in a straight (as an example) V.32 mode you'd still gain the
- benefit of higher throughput than a 2400bps modem.

- That's the way I used my first 9600bps modem on my GS before I got a hardware
- handshaking cable for it. It helps a lot...just not as much as it could.
