  18. BTW, in case some of you haven't seen SCALA yet, you gotta see their 
  19. demo scripts that come with the MM200 version shipped with the 3000P's!
  20. It comes with some really neat transitions, backgrounds, etc...
  21. and the user interface looks kinda' spiffy as well.
  22. Too bad it still has a few bugs.  It crashed (not very ofter I'll admit)
  23. on the 4000 I installed it on about once every 45min.  I'm not sure what caused
  24. it.

  26. Their standalone player *never* ran one script without crashing immediately!
  27. The disk could have had a glitch though.

  29. The nicest thing about SCALA is everything in the software, including the
  30. backgrounds, fonts, music, and transition/effects that come with it *look*
  31. professional.
  32. Unlike the POS demo CBM did with AmigaVision that uses the most horrid
  33. music and simple graphics in the 'Hands On' section of the demo.

  35. BTW, I think it would be very wise for CBM to update the AmigaVision feature
  36. that builds data disks to include compression.  (If I can do data compression
  37. on a Z80 based embedded system, I'm sure they can buy 'The Data Compression
  38. Book' and add one to AV. ;-)
