  11.   In todays mail I got the latest Radio Shack flyer.  In it they
  12. have a two page spread on their new Memorex MD-2500 VIS player.
  13. This is yet another CDTV style CD-ROM interactive entertainment
  14. system.

  16.   They've got it priced at $699.95 and apparently doesnt come with
  17. any discs except a special bonus disc of Comptons Multimedia
  18. Encyclopedia.  Several other titles were mentioned but no pricing
  19. or part numbers were listed.

  21.   From a EE Times article the VIS supposedly runs a Intel Processor
  22. and a special version of Microsoft Windows.  The screen shots in the ad
  23. didnt impress me very much, even though the text hyped a 16 million 
  24. color display.

  26.   I'm not sure what the CDTV is going for these days, but based on
  27. features alone, I see nothing in the VIS that would make me rush
  28. out and buy one.
