- It depends on what you need. If you are scanning clip-art (i.e. B&W), a
- hand scanner will do fine.

- If you are scanning 5 x 7 photos and 18 bit color is enough, the Sharp
- JX-100 (I think that's the #) works great. Although ASDG's software seems
- to have a problem every now and then... not sure what causes it.
- It is slow though.

- If you need 24 bit color or full-page scanning, the Epson flatbed scanner
- works best. It gives the best color, and since it can be run directly from
- ADPro, it's easy to automate scanning and processing through ARexx.

- If you can afford it, the Epson is the way to go. I've used all of the above,
- and I like the Epson best.
