- The 'Il Sole 24 Ore', the most prominent italian financial newspaper ,
- publish every friday a four-pages extra on EDP & computers.
- Last friday, 13 Nov 1991, appeared an article on CDTV:
- An english teaching school (British Institute) will replace magnetic tapes
- and recorders with cd-rom and CDTV; the funny thing is that to explain
- what CDTV is, the author said in the beginning that _CD-I_ and multimedia disk
- are read by CDTV, then that CD-ROM, CD+MIDI, CD+G and plain music CD's can be
- played by the CDTV.
- My personal opinion is that Philips paid to advertise CD-I system, but people
- see preminently CDTV in consumer electronics stores and computer magazines;
- Result: the mass perception is that CD-I is a Commodore's CDTV player
- special disk format (!).
- Thanks Philips to help C= to sell CDTV ! ;-)

- PS)
- I don't watch frequently TV, so a my friend told me that
- in Italy, after pushing it like multimedia reader,
- Philips is promoting CD-I as Photo-CD reader !
-
- PS/2 ) :(
- Sorry for the bad English
