  11. The 'Il Sole 24 Ore', the most prominent italian financial newspaper ,
  12. publish every friday a four-pages extra on EDP & computers.
  13. Last friday, 13 Nov 1991, appeared an article on CDTV:
  14. An english teaching school (British Institute) will replace magnetic tapes
  15. and recorders with cd-rom and CDTV; the funny thing is that to explain
  16. what CDTV is, the author said in the beginning that _CD-I_ and multimedia disk
  17. are read by CDTV, then that CD-ROM, CD+MIDI, CD+G and plain music CD's can be
  18. played by the CDTV.
  19. My personal opinion is that Philips paid to advertise CD-I system, but people
  20. see preminently CDTV in consumer electronics stores and computer magazines;
  21. Result: the mass perception is that CD-I is a Commodore's CDTV player 
  22. special disk format (!).

  28.     I don't watch frequently TV, so a my friend told me that
  29.     in Italy, after pushing it like multimedia reader,
  30.     Philips is promoting CD-I as Photo-CD reader !
