- In my last post here, I suggested we put to a vote the creation of some
- sort of CDTV base, or maybe a comp.sys.amiga.cd-rom base to be the
- alter-ego of csa.multimedia (the former for using CDs, the latter for
- discussion of issues involving creation/generation which is what most of
- the messages here are about).
-
- In the interim I have bought a CDTV, and am extremely happy with it! It's
- living up to my expectations wonderfully.
-
- Here's my problem now. If the latest issue of AC's Guide to the Amiga is
- anything to go by, a huge number of discs are available. Many look
- extremely interesting, such as the educational North Polar Expedition
- simulator and the strategy war-game Dominion. I'd also like to hear from
- others who've bought discs that are upgraded versions of normal Amiga
- titles, to hear how they're improved to decide whether to have my dealer
- order them. Interest seems to be growing and I think a dedicated base
- would fly. Either way, could other CDTV/A570 owners tell me what they
- recommend? Trying to wade through csa.games is extremely impractical, and
- technically as a CDTV owner it isn't even within the official mandate of
- that newsgroup (though I'm sure everyone there would accept it anyway).
- Here's one way that a CDTV-dedicated newsgroup would be extremely useful.
- Thoughts?
