-
- First of all, if you have a virus on the disk that contains the BootX virus
- killer, you have a BIG problem. In this case try to get a clean copy. Also
- make sure that you are using the latest version of the program...
-
- The reason for BootX to guru may be that you have a virus in memory (i.e on
- the BootX disk). However BootX may crash when it tries to check some no-dos
- disks.
-
- When you have a clean disk with BootX on, make sure to have it
- write-protected, and never remove the protection. Before you start killing
- virus, make sure that you use the RESET VECTORS option and the INSTALL LVD
- option, and the LOCK DISK option. If you don't use the lock disk option, the
- Saddam virus may spreed while you try to remove it.
-
- After going through all your disks with BootX, the Saddam Virus will be
- removed, however BootX will not supply your disks with new disk-validators,
- this is something you have to do by hand! In this case bu sure that you
- actually copy a real disk-validator and not a Saddam virus!!
-
- Remember to use the repear disk option on evry disk that was infected with the
- Saddam virus.
-
- Hope this helps...
