- I've been doing some calculations...
-
- Assuming my data is correct (I haven't checked much of it) :
-
- For the Amiga 1200 set up I'd like : (All prices UK pounds)
-
- Amiga 1200 400
- 1960 Monitor 400
- 120Mb HD 400 (Maybe a bit over priced)
- 4Meg 32bit mem 200
-
- Thats 1400 quid ! (about 2200 dollars- current exchange rates)
-
- But - for an Amiga 4000 :
-
- 68040 processor
- 120Mb HD
- 6 Meg memory (Is this right in the base model ?)
- 1960 Monitor (Or do you get a shitty 1084 :-)
-
- Currently selling at roughly 2000 pounds (Just over 3000 dollars)
-
- I could probably sell my current set up (500+, HD, 4Meg) for about 400 or 500
- pounds - a bit towards a 1200 set up...
-
- But would it be worth mortgaging my cat and dog to go for a 4000 ???
-
-
- Comments - please :-)
